It seems to me that there is very little activity on this board compared to what it was a year or so ago. Has something happened that I just missed, or what?

Well, my life has been crazy lately so I have not been commenting. There has been so much for me to comment I am going to make a whole topic about it. Check it out when it is out.

With me it was a bout with cancer, then a couple trips, then a bout with an intestinal scourge of some sort, then another couple of trips, then a bout with farm implements that would not behave, and now another couple of trips ... (I am hopeful that I do *not* have any more bouts with the mediceine men this year.) After that, it will be fall hunting again and school consulting, which seriously cuts in to fishing time.

JDECS so sorry to hear of you not feeling well...Here I am complaining about a Honey Do list and wow you surely have more of a right to complain or kind of feel over whelmed...Hope your feeling better soon and that you do not have to ever contend with this kind of stuff in the near future...

I figured there had to be some reasons for the inactivity. You all try to stay healthy and visit with us often.

Hi everyone....

I haven't been on this site in quite some time. A lot has happened since I used to be more active on this site:

- I no longer have a place to go hunting.
- I have had health issues, and well, some personal family issues, due to working the night shift.

Presently:

- I still have no place to go hunting, and probably not as enthusiastic about it as I once was.
- I sold my compound bow, climbing treestand, and my old .30-30 rifle (I still have my Remington 870 12GA and my Savage .308 rifle though).
- I got re-assigned to the dayshift, lost 25 pounds, and started getting my health (and my marriage) back together.
- Now for the bombshell: As of May 31st, I am going to be unemployed. My company lost the contract with the federal government at the Defense Supply Center. They might bring us back as government employees (GS-7, GS-9, etc..) or they might not. It's too soon to tell. :(
- Life can really suck, you know? :(

Sorry to type such a depressing post after all this time, but I figured you all would like to know what's been happening with me.

Thanks Uncle Buck,
I seem to have beaten all the bad stuff and have my stamina back. I'm still unemployed, but I'm doing some computer consulting and tutoring, so I am having fun, even if no cash. I feel good and plan to go kick some prairiedog butt for the first couple weeks of June, not to mention catch all the bass in Uglyhoma!
