Now this would be good somewhere in the deep woods of Pa or a woodlot.. Hunt deer buck doe no matter and shoot them with a Single Action Army or a Black Hawk 44 Mag or maybe even a Encore Single Shot Pistol?

However if one does this should they use the 44 Mag? Maybe one should use a 7MM08 or a 35 Rem lets say in a Encore barrel?

Also what scope power should one use to do this or should they try this open sight?

I know now that when calling...I don't use a 22 Double Action. I use a Single Action Six 22 WMR/22LR to shoot coon from the trees that come to my predator calling...
Hunting Hand Gun....Just like how the Single Action perform for hunting...

I have a .44 mag Interarms Virginian Dragoon. Single action with iron sights. I've shot 3 deer with it and it performed great. Had to track one deer about 100 yds.. The other 2 dropped in thier tracks. I liked to carry it when we were doing drives in thick cover. My hands were free for climbing over brush and it was safer I thought. And every once in awhile I would see something and I'd get to slap leather.Posted Image

My Ruger Blackhawk in .30 Carbine, with 7 1/2 barrel, with a 2x Burris will work for white-tail in the brush country, but I keep it to short range. A .357 or .44 Mag with a decent barrel length should do dandy.

Might be nice just to own a Single Action Army aka SAA or a Blackhawk 44 Mag. Heard many a person that say the single action hand gun is your best hunting hand gun..Also.......see......all of us were cowboys when we were boys...so the SAA and or Blackhawk kind of fits the bill.

Me I love T/C Encore long guns. Unscrew the shoulder stock add a pistol grip stock and forearm and you have a single shot handgun with the appropriate barrel..

However the SAA and Blackhawk single action 44 Mag still seems neater then a 7MM08 or 308Win pistol barrel on the Encore system...
