This past week I was hunting (more or less) in Buffalo County, WI. On opening day (last saturday) I saw about 6 does and what appeared to be a small buck, he was through the brush into a field. It was real warm that day, as it has been all fall. Then we went out to eat and heard the news that the landowner we lease from passed away from a heart attack while he was hunting that day. He died just before dark in a grassy point, and was only 68 years old. We had heard the alarm go off while we were draging a deer up the hill. We hunted all sunday and monday morning with no luck. We returned on Friday and hunted the afternoon. That afternoon I saw a fork and 5 does, but didn't shoot because after hunting we were going down to the wake, so I was only hunting for a big buck. Then we went down to a friends house where we were staying. Saturday we hunted the morning and saw nothing. We changed and went to the furneral that went on till the afternoon. Then we went back and hunted the afternoon. The plan was for us to hunt sunday morning, but my dad put a squash on that when he heard that for dinner we were going to have orix steaks and the adults were going to have brandy old fashon sweets(I hear its a wisconsin thing). Lets just say him and his friend that we brought with us werent getting up in the morning after that night. Heard a lot of good stories though. Over all had a fun time.

I forgot to mention the fact that I did get some shooting in. I shot at a doe twice and missed both times. Had fun though.
