I've been quail hunting twice so far this year. I had to skip the opening weekend because I came down with a pretty bad cold. The 2nd weekend I went out and we found some quail at my number 2 spot. My buddy and I each got three birds. Quail hunting has been pretty bad the last two years because of the Kalifornistan drought. Quail don't pair up have lay eggs if the rain wasn't sufficient to provide food for their chicks. I wish people were that smart.

Last Friday I went alone and tried a new spot. I got 5 birds that day. I'm going back up there this Friday with some hunting buddies. I think if there were more hunters I would have had more birds last Friday.
