Today is the second day of rifle season. There have been so many hunters around I decided to pull my stands before someone else did.This morn I sat in my waterhole stand where I shot my bull. . At around 9 after not seeing anything I decided to climb down and pull the stand. I had everything on the ground and was rolling up ratchet straps when I heard heavy panting behind me. I turned around and there were 10 elk running right past me. Instinctively I dove for my rifle and put the crosshairs on the biggest of the 2 bulls. 6x6. Thats when I realized I didn't have a tag anymore. They hit the trees 50 yds away from me and stopped, that bull gave me a perfect 1/4 away shot. I still didn't have a tag.
