They sure did, back some time ago.

For a while, you could get some good deals, none are more accurate it seems.

As far as I know, they'll be maintaining warranty and parts requests, just no new rifles.

How would ya'll rank the various makes of Inline Muzzleloaders ??

Perhaps next year, I might be in the market to pick up used one to try and get in another weekend or two of slinging some lead (now that we get a 2 week Muzzy season West of the Blue Ridge).

Thanks !!

I couldn't tell you... We only own one muzzle loader, a .50 caliber, and it isn't an in-line...and to be honest, I am not really sure even what brand it is, but I think it's a CVA. I was never into muzzle loaders... The only reason we have this one is because my wife's father had 3 or 4 muzzle loaders, and this one was among the guns my wife inherited when he passed away a few years ago... I've only shot it maybe half a dozen times.... But, I have heard good things about the KNIGHT muzzle loaders, and I hate to see any quality gun maker go out of business.

  • Interests:Hunting, fishing, shooting and reloading, also boating when I have time. Have gotten more into shooting and reloading the last few years. I started loading in 1966 and after a few years I got away from it a little.

I hate to hear of any quality gun going out also. That being said I have 4 muzzle loaders, but since I got my Savage ML10-2 I don't use any of the others. I like to shoot it and I think I will use it in regular season this year. I like the fact that it is Smokeless powder and doesn't require that sloppy clean up. I have been shooting it some and am able to put 3 shots into a 2 inch group at 100yds with a 250 gr. bullet at 2200 fps. I know of others that are shooting 1 3/4 inch groups at 300 yds. I really like to shoot it and it is still front loading and you must make the first shot count.

They made a fine ML.

You can still buy them from Green Mtn Barrels - pretty much the exact same ML.

In terms of cleaning and accuracy, they are great. I'm pretty sure the Omega had something to do with Knight's demise, but hands down Knight's remain the most accurate. Given the high quality Green Mtn Barrels, the Timney and Jewell triggers, and top shelf laminate stocks, I don't think there was much margin in there for making any money.
