As Hemmy says, we don't grow many real big in this state except for the urban areas.

Here in PA we have antler restrictions. The deer has to have three legal points each being at least an inch.It gives the buck a chance to live through it's first year.I think fatty's and mine are 2 1/2 year olds.Problem is a deer really starts to reach it's full potential at 3 1/2 on up.With all the hunting pressure we have in this state it's rare to see a buck much older then 2 1/2.

Ya, I wish we had a rule like that. They have a rule like that in the lower parts of NY.

My biggest Bucks were both 8 points (both in VA); no pic's, but bout along the size of Fatty's and Hemmy's.

I'm sure glad I'm in VA now rather than PA, cause nowadays I'd rather prefer putting a few nice tender Doe in the Freeezer and there's plenty of them still around these parts. ;) :D

We had to stop all doe hunting on our land cause of pa's mis management if we want to have some around to see.

Well i got a buck on the 2nd to last day of rifle season! As you can see, I won't be showen off that thing, but it's my first buck so! We also don'thave huge bucks up here as I said before<_<. It weighed 130 pounds dressed out, so it is a pretty big deer with a small rack, if that is what you call this set!

A huge congrats on your buck, any deer is a trophy. You made a good shot, drug it out and now it will taste good!!!

Heck I got my first buck I ever shot mounted and it was a small 4 point (legal in them days). As long as its legal and it's what you want I say go for it, again congrats on your buck.

Those are some nice bucks in the pics!

I've never shot anything over an 8 point and a little over 250 lbs. They make them a little bigger here that that, but I've never come across one personally. (Else I'd have a different number to quote ya!)
