I don't know if I have posted this before, but if I have...then here it is again.....
In most places your traps have to be tagged with your name, and in some places, even your address... If you run many traps you know the little tags can often get lost when an animal is caught and have to be replaced, and new ones have to be purchased for any new traps you buy...and over time this can run into quite a few bucks... I took old 1/2 inch copper tubing and cut it in lengths of about an inch long and used an electric etcher to put my name and address on them. With a short piece of bailing wire they attach quite easily to your trap chain... The etcher is really the only expence, and the price of a hundred or so tags would easily pay for a cheap etcher.... These tags can also be used for trot lines where the law requires, and for etching your lifetime hunting license number on, for attaching to (tagging) your deer or turkey, where required.
