Ya'll notice how some refs make such blatant calls in a college football game?

Bama had it's share last year. (LoL....I know it sounds one sided....but, it's true)

Here's a better example.....

Anyone watch the Ol Miss v. Vanderbilt game the other day?

I was totally for Ol Miss.....til I started watching some of them dirty calls Ol Miss's refs made.

The most blatant of all in that game was when a ref applied the Halo rule to a tackle. He threw a flag because of it. There is no Halo rule anymore...or am I missing something?
Ol Miss caught the ball....Vandy waited til Miss's player's feet were planted..then POW! Yet, the ref called a flag. Even the announcer was scratching his head on that one. And they show the plays over and over and more times than not, it proves that the refs made a stupid call.......lol...man, it is getting bad.

It's getting to where I'm scared I'll have a stroke if I watch any cause they get me yelling at the stupid t.v.

...and that is just one reason I seldom watch sports on TV any more... It's just like the television news... It just ends up ticking me off so I don't watch it... I have not watched any TV news in probably close to 5 years now, and about the same for sports...and I did used to keep up with the OU Sooners football teams .......................and some of those lesser teams too.

I'm sure she doesn't think you are trying to hijack her thread Paymaster... If you have noticed, most of her threads end up kinda wandering around like a drunk anyway.... But then with 99er and hemmy here....I guess it's understandable.

My pet peeve is there appears to be two sets of refs calling the games, one on the field and one in the press box. I really grow weary of the announcers second guessing the game officials all the time. If an official misses a call, he knows it and will probably try to make it up to you elsewhere in the game. I coached basketball for twenty years and found refs don't really give a hoot who wins a game. I don't think they really get a fair break. They are evaluated regularly, and if they make a bunch of bad calls they simply will be working at a lower level in the future, and at a lower pay rate to boot. I can honestly say that none of my teams ever lost a game because of poor oficiating. Poor play or poor coaching yes, but not poor officiating. Best wishes.

You are correct about the two sets of "refs". That does indeed happen.
My team loses cause they stink..lol...that's the bottom line there. Poor coaching as well...I can't wait til we get rid of Shula.(Alabama Crimson Tide, U of A, i.e.)

Just sometimes, like the game I exampled, they seriously mess up.....and, after seeing the play ...you'd have to be blind to miss it.
