Howdy all!

I wanted to make this topic/post for anyone that is new to posting photos on the site, or any folks we may get later on that would want to know.

We do have a feature where you can upload pics, and that is fine to use! You will find though, eventually, you may have to delete some of the earlier pics to make room for newer ones in your control panel, depending on how much you post pics.

A second avenue is a free hosting account that you can use to copy and paste photos here, or elsewhere on the net.

The one I'm best familiar with is Photobucket ( http://www.photobucket.com ). It's free to signup and use, and what I like the most: Easy to use. Also, in my account, there are hundreds of pictures, so, it has a pretty big storage base.

I have one set up for anyone that wants to use to get a feel for, and see if it's one they would want to use on their own. Feel free to use it to practice in (LoL..I know you won't, but, I might check it a time or two to make sure no one--outside of the forum, mind you cause I know my boys/gals are good folks ;) --posts any taboo items such as ...umm...porn things. I'd have to delete them. :D ). But, you can use it to get a feel of, and decide if you want to sign up for your own account.

The URL is: http://www.photobucket.com

The username is: practicealbum

The password is: practice

Now, a quick rundown of Photobucket:

Here is a screen shot to use for reference:

Any photo that you have saved to your computer, you can load here. If you notice, under the section on the right of the ad (Add Pictures), you can choose to submit multiple pics at one, if you wish.
To add your pictures, use the piece labeled "Browse". That will allow you to find the picture on your computer you want to upload.
After you have it on, click "Submit".

Also notice, you can add multiple albums. To place a picture in a certain one you have created, simply click on the album name when you open photobucket (and it will take you there, then add your pics.).

Now, check out this screen shot: (smaller, sorry)

These would be your uploaded pics.
To bring one over here to post is very easy.
Notice under the pictures there are three different taglines. The one that is the fastest and easiest to use to post here (or any other forum, possibly) is the 3rd one. The one that says "Img".
You just simply click it and it'll highlight on it's own. then, right click your mouse, and hit "copy".
Then, you come over here, make a post, or find where you want to put your pic, and right click your mouse again, then hit "paste".

Your pic will be posted.

Now, you'll notice above your pics, you have the option to edit them.

It's good to check your pic to see how big it is, and if it will stretch the thread you post in to crazy widths. :D
To look at your pic at full size, simply click on it. It'll show you your pic at full size.

If it's too big, go back (either the "back" button on browser, or you'll see the album name to click on in the upper left in blue; both will take you back), and click "Edit".

You'll want to resize the pic.
You'll have 3 options:

75%, which shrinks the pic 25%.

50%, which shrinks the pic 50%.

and, 25%, which shrinks the pic 75%.

Note that when you reduce pics, you can't undo it. If you make a mistake, you will have to delete it, and then add it again all over.

If it's a huge pic, 50% usually is the way to go.

(As an aside, the screen shots I posted here; originally they covered my whole screen in photobucket. The first, I used the 75% option. the 2nd, I used 50%.)

When you have the one you want, hit submit, and it'll be resized. Then it's ready to post anywhere.

If anything is unclear (cause I'm not the greatest at 'splaining  ), let me know, and I'll try and be more clear. Thanks ya'll.

Play around with that account , if you want. Create albums if you want, get the hang of adding pics, resizing pics, deleting pics,...whatever you wish, it's there for you to practice on. Feel free to even play around with the pics that are there if you want to practice on those.

If you like photobucket, it's quick and easy to join. Totally free, and they deliver no spam to your inbox.

Oh yeah...also note that if you play with, or delete any pictures that are in your account that you already have posted somewhere, they will be altered in your posts as well.

For instance, if I posted a pic "here" and it is a nice big picture,

And then I go to my photobucket and resize the pic,

It'll be resized "here" as well.

If you post a picture somewhere and then go and delete it from your account later on, or right after, the picture you posted will disappear too.

Those are too hot! Only ones I have are the tiger pattern in packages, I think it's called. Not even sure. You have some extremely desirable colors though.
