My name is Kaan... sounds like "Con"... i'm a half breed, half Turkish that is. I was born on the eastern shore of MD, raised near DC, spent 5 years in college in the VA Blue Ridge... James Madison University if you couldnt figure it out.
After a 10 year absence from the woods, some friends and I will be returning for some yote hunting. 10 years of fishing and beer drinking have left me with a larger waist line
so i'll be poking around here while i regear. Dont mind my newbie questions...i'll use the search feature i promise!

Ok well I am new here so guess I should tell yall a bit about me I am just a good ole WV hillbilly and proud of it too I am 36 married and have a 4 year old son Logan Aragorn Lee seen in my post about brook trout that was his first and sure not to be his last one I promise ya. I live In Pocahontas county WV where I was born and raised I have left a few times lived in nashville and just outside of tampa for a while I have worked all kinds of jobs from a laborer at a saw mill to truck driver and even a lighting technician for concerts so most of the country singers everyone just love I use to work with now I work at Snowshoe Ski resort as a 911 operator and dispatcher I love the outdoors and am doing my best to instill that same love into my little boy who so far loves it just as much as I do. I read and write and am just getting into custom call making mostly predator calls just waiting to get my lathe and stuff then I will start workin. I play paintball when I can and fish and hunt as often as I can I mainly hunt deer and coyote but do some turkey and grouse and even a little bear when I feel like it in deer hunting I would rather take a deer with a bow any day over a rifle so yeah I am an archer to both traditional and compound

OK...So I think I may be confused again! I belong to a few forums and they all have a section where you introduce yourself and everyone makes their own thread to do so. Maybe this is why I missed it the first time around!
Anyway, I'm guessing I introduce myself here! I'm Tiffany if you couldn't guess by my username! I am from the big apple but moved to a small southern town in Oregon about 13 months ago and have since found my love for outdoors! I have never been one for the outdoors. Living in NYC it get so hot and humid and muggy with all the smog and pollution, you can't wait to get indoors with AC! Now, it's all dry heat with lots of clear blue skies and SUN! beautiful mountains, lakes and rivers! I just LOVE being outdoors and learning new things!

Tiffany, good to have you here... And yes, alot of forums are set up the way you are talking about...but then some, like this one, are set up "a little differently"...LOL
I think you made a good decision in moving out of NYC. (But being born, raised, and still living in a small country town in Oklahoma with only about 3400 people, that's just my personal opinion.)...and Oregon is a beautiful state. We have a couple of people here from Oregon, if I recall... I have relatives living in Oregon, but I have not been there in many years now............... Like I said in another post, settle in, and look around... Make some posts, we'd like to hear some of your comments.... And again, Welcome.

nfmMike... Welcome ! ... Drag up a stump, kick off your boots, and make yourself to home..... This section for new member introductions was placed here sorta "off the beaten path", and very few people come here. In fact, I'd bet that some of the members don't even know it is hidden away down here............ But, look around the forum, and when you find a place that looks interesting, please, jump in... Or if you have a subject you would like to discuss, make a new post.... Again. Welcome... Glad to have you join us.

Let me again make a suggestion to the powers that be... How about moving this "New Member Introduction" section to a place more easily found by new members, as well as those who have been here awhile ? ... Because I know that even many of the old hands here seldom think to check down here.
