Precision Hunting and Fishing? nHunting?
10 years ago, a small bulletin board named the 'Sportsman Forum' was created to give hunting and fishing enthusiasts a place to share their stories on the internet. This small forum was then registered under the domain precisionhuntingandfishing.com, and it has continued to grow ever since.
In commemoration of Precision Hunting and Fishing's 10th anniversary, we're making a few changes.
The first, as you've probably noticed, is a new domain name, nHunting.com. It's easier to type, and it's easier to remember. We'll continue to be available under the precisionhuntingandfishing.com domain name for quite some time, and we don't have any plans of dropping it.
Secondly, we're releasing a lot of new software:
Secondly, we're releasing a lot of new software:
New Forums
This is a solid upgrade. A couple of exciting features include the reputation system and the facebook connect API. The reputation is exactly what it sounds like, a way for users to vote up or down a member's reputation, adding (or detracting) to their 'street cred'. We'll be keeping an eye on this to prevent any abuse. The facebook connect API allows users to log in as a member using their facebook credentials. No need to register - just log right in!
Blogs
You're reading one. Certain members will be able to create and post blog entries or their hunting trips, gear reviews, or whatever else they want to post about. More information on this feature as it's released.
Image Gallery
We're really excited about this feature. Certain members will be able to create photo albums, join public albums, and rate and comment on gallery images. More information on this feature soon.
We hope you enjoy the new look, and the new site. If you have any questions or concerns, email me directly at mikejr@nhunting.com. We're always looking for feedback!
